Care and Inspection of Rubber Blankets
As with other live line tools and safety products, proper care, inspection, and storage of Rubber Blankets is essential. Before each use, it is imperative to visually inspect your rubber blankets. When inspecting, be sure to look for rips, tears, holes, punctures, embedded wire, ozone cutting, and chemical deterioration. Should any of these be evident, remove the blanket from service. If additional information is needed, please review ASTM F1236, Standard Guide for visual inspection of electrical protective rubber products.
